A free 15-day Pro trial, a calmer flat look and a shelf that feels like the Mac.
Try Pro free for 15 days: no card, nothing charged.
A flat, solid look: no glass or shadows, except the window buttons.
A shelf that feels like the Mac: shake, drop, then Send to Mise.
Ask AI, tidier: History by day and a calmer new chat.
Backup at a glance: a cloud beside the library pill.
Videos and design files: more formats come in with their picture.
Faster: fewer missed frames, a live colour filter, snappier motion.
The right icon on macOS 26: whole in the Dock, no grey tile.
v1.8.0
Improved
Calmer greys, a tidier sidebar and a dark mode that holds together.
A dark mode that holds together: the window sits a shade lighter than its cards, and hover, press, typing and the picked row each step lighter so every one shows.
A tidier sidebar: 200 wide, its first row on the library's top line, the library pill on its bottom line, rows 8 from the edges.
Softer greys in light mode: the window and a picked row are each a step deeper.
New icons: All is a ring of dots, close is a solid circle, and line icons share one 1.33 weight with round ends.
Even segmented controls: every part one width, the chosen pill the same in every state.
Merge lives in Settings: Merge into this library moved from the library menu to Settings › Library.
v1.7.0
NewImproved
A full screen that keeps its bar, and glass to the corners.
Full screen keeps its bar: search, sort, layout and filter stay in view, the window buttons stay top left, and the page slides down when the menu bar comes.
Glass window buttons: close, minimise and zoom wear Apple's new glass, and the toolbar's glass is a touch darker in dark mode.
Filled icons: every icon is filled, a quiet grey at rest and black when it's picked.
Filter in two columns: a colour ring with its code beside Type and Date, and menus are solid cards.
Let go of a pick: a picked card's circle lets it go again, and ⌘-click on a picked card clears it fully.
Double click does one thing: a double click on a toolbar button no longer zooms the window.
v1.6.0
NewImproved
Glass, motion and a faster start.
Real glass: menus, toasts, the search bar and buttons float on Apple's glass on macOS 26 and later.
GIFs and videos play by themselves: in the library and the item panel, with a switch in Settings.
Opens sooner: the window appears in one piece, and Restore and Merge bring pictures in 3 to 5 times faster.
Pick a tag as you type: type # in the search bar, or type a board's name when you move a picture.
Calmer menus: more air, a blue check on the chosen row, and Delete acts on the open menu, never the picture under it.
Dialogs answer every click on macOS 27: Got it, Turn on backup and Delete tag.
v1.5.0
NewImproved
Search now sees what's in your pictures.
Find pictures by what's in them: type dog, beach or food, even for pictures with no words.
More like this: right-click a picture to see the saves that look like it.
Faster with big libraries: no pause after a change, and words in pictures are read right after you save.
Search forgives typos: the best match comes first, and a slip still finds it.
Ask AI searches the same way: it finds saves by what they show and by words close in meaning.
Comments look like Messages: blue bubbles, grouped by time, with a preview for a link.
v1.0.4
ImprovedFixedDesign
Every menu in Mise now follows one recipe, fields answer a click by filling rather than drawing an outline, and the Pro and What's New screens have been rebuilt.
Every dropdown is the same card: taller rows, more air under a heading, a wider minimum, and a shadow that actually lifts the card off the page. Sort, the library menu and the small plus menu no longer keep private rules of their own.
Choices in a menu are rows with a tick: the Responsive / Fixed switch and the Filter's Content type and Date are plain rows now, so nothing wraps onto a ragged second line.
Submenus behave: they sit against the parent's edge instead of covering it, and only the row you came from stays lit.
Delete stays red and Upgrade stays blue when you hover them, instead of both turning grey with a black icon.
Fields fill instead of ringing: a field darkens under the pointer and darkens again while you type. The focus colour lost a faint blue tint it had everywhere, Settings included.
The search bar holds its edge on hover and while you type, instead of filling with the exact colour of the window behind it.
A link's preview in the item panel is wide, never tall: the picture fills a wide box that follows the panel width, and the LINK badge sits in its corner.
Tidier cards: the kind badge and the select circle sit level, the select circle no longer shows the picture through it, and the hover preview button is smaller.
The item panel ends on a clean edge: its bottom bar is part of the white card and carries the same rounded corners as the top.
The Pro screen is one card, not three stacked colour bands, with a solid Buy button and a grey Activate.
What's New lists every release, newest first, in one left-aligned column you can scroll.
Support opens the website, at usemise.net/support, instead of a blank mail message.
New prices. One year of updates is now $24 and covers one Mac. Lifetime updates is $49 and covers two. An extra Mac is $9 on either plan, up to six, bought one at a time. Renewing a lapsed year is $19. If you already bought, nothing changes for you.
The app is lighter. The icon artwork was squeezed without changing a single pixel, taking about 1.5 MB off the download.
v1.0.3
NewImprovedFixedDesign
Mise opens already drawn, the shake shelf is real glass that only answers a real drag, and your app icon follows you between Mise and Mise Beta.
Boards wear ten set colours from one palette, and the board menu is just Rename, Icon and Delete.
Sliders fill solid blue and tick as you move them; Tiles and Volume are the same bar.
Every empty screen looks the same: a pale picture, a title and one line, chat included.
The Filter and Layout popovers are tidier: three cards for Filter, a two-part Fit switch for Layout.
Opening a picture is quieter: softer dots, a hairline frame, and a clean page when a file is missing.
Text fields glow instead of ringing when you click into them.
The membership card is redrawn: the crown pressed into the steel, a black arrow, no clutter.
Mise opens already drawn: the window waits until there is something to show, and launch chores run after you can scroll, not before.
The shake shelf is frosted glass that follows your Mac's Light or Dark, opens only for a real file or link drag, and keeps drops until you press Send to Mise.
A firmer shake: a Figma nudge or a small jiggle no longer summons the shelf. Low is the new default; High is still there.
One app icon for Mise and Mise Beta: pick it once and both wear it.
Your last screen is back the instant Mise opens, and the full library slides in behind it.
Menus, tooltips, sizes and motion now come from one design system: one card style for every menu and flyout, two control heights, three motion speeds, one-word tips only where they help, and a hover that glides to the nearest row.
v1.0.2
NewImprovedFixedDesign
Cleaner type, a proper installer, and a quieter preview.
Mise now reads in SF Pro, the Mac's own type.
The installer window is back.
The expand corner on a card no longer pops a tooltip.
